Michael V. Lynne Fine Art
Realism, social commentary, plein-air art work are all of interest to me.
Oswego New York

Brief Background Stuff

I am a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology where I majored in illustration and minored in painting. After 3 years of working in advertising in various cities I did a 180 and got a Masters in Teaching degree in art. During my teaching tenure I worked on my own but also began an MFA, took workshops from some very good teachers and continued to try to find my own way artistically. Recently retired I am now free to really move forward, or a least move as art has a habit of going both up and down in terms of progress. I continue to develop yearly goals; in 2009 I would like to enter more thematic juried shows; I like the challenges imposed from outside sources. I am also trying to use paint in a more fluid manner, sort of semi-abstract. I hope you check back from time to time the occasional constructive comments I have gotten have been helpful!
